Doha Bank BizQuiz enthralls Abu Dhabi audience

A grand corporate BizQuiz was organized by Doha bank on 4th December at Hotel Hilton, AbuDhabi. The event was first of its kind where leading corporate organizations participated in an intense brain teasing quiz program. The event had tremendous response with large number of corporate teams participating in the contest.  Mr. R. Seetharaman, Chief Executive Officer Doha Bank welcomed the audience along with his international team, comprising Doha Bank Chief Representatives coming from Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Turkey and Romania.  Senior Doha Bank officials from Doha and Dubai branch were also present during the occasion. Mr. R. Seetharaman expressed happiness at the increasing interest of professionals towards knowledge sessions like corporate quiz.

The event was conducted in two stages.  In first stage all teams undertook a written preliminary test consisting of 25 questions to be answered. Based on the performance in the preliminary round, top five teams were selected for finals. Mr. R. Seetharaman took the role of quizmaster for the evening. The finals’ was conducted on the stage consisting of diverse topics. The topics were very diverse covering business, finance, entertainment, current affairs, sports, technology, environment etc.  It was an intense closely contested finals’ with each team trying to outwit other.  In addition there were many questions exclusively for audiences also. 

The competition was very intense, as very small margin separated the teams. The Ecolab Gulf FZE Company consisting of Rohit and Jishnu emerged winners while Standard Chartered Bank represented by Anmol and Ravi emerged as runners up.  Nagarajan and Manjula Srikumar from ADCB, Suresh and Shaji from ADIA and Nexus represented by Nejimon and Rajesh were other three teams which qualified for finals. 

The winners, runners and finalists were given cash prizes and cups.  The event concluded with dinner.
